Tutorial for using Audio Player on non-WordPress sites

Good news for people who want to use my Audio Player on a non-WordPress site: Mindy McAdams has very kindly written a nice tutorial explaining exactly how to do it.

Thanks Mindy!

    In response to a couple inquiries about whether this player is compatible with m3u or drupal, I’d like to report that I’m using both (after much trial and error). Here’s my embed code, using an m3u extension streaming radio station, and square braces in place of angle brackets:

    [div class="content"]
    [div class='audio-node block']
    [div class="item-list"][ul class="audio-info"][li][object type="application/x-shockwave-flash" data="/modules/audio/players/1pixelout.swf" width="290" heigh\
    t="24"]
    [param name="movie" value="/modules/audio/players/1pixelout.swf" /]
    [param name="wmode" value="transparent" /]
    [param name="menu" value="false" /]
    [param name="quality" value="high" /]
    [param name="FlashVars" value="soundFile=http://w02-sw01.akadostream.ru:8000/europaplus128.mp3&type=sound"/]
    [embed src="/modules/audio/players/1pixelout.swf" flashvars="soundFile=http://w02-sw01.akadostream.ru:8000/;europaplus128.mp3.m3u" width="290" height="24"\
    bgcolor="#000000" /]
    [/div]

    The magic m3u sauce (for me) was the vlashvars soundfile value that drops the m3u file extension and simply declares it &type=sound. Making 1pixelout work with drupal wasn’t a big deal at all. I’m pretty sure I found reasonably simple instructions within the online drupal documentation.

    I’m not really a web developer, but very happy with 1pixelout and drupal both. Great thanks to all for contributing helpful tips here and elsewhere.

    Has anyone had any luck integrating this player into Zen Cart? I am looking to do something like that for a music site. Let people be able to preview music for sale..

    Will you please work on getting your plugin to work with Drupal 5.x and or 6.x? We have a few companies and need to find something like this to work on our Drupal websites.

    Thanks

    The Audio player is great and works well in our blogs. Thank you, also for the clear tutorial!

    Does anyone know of a widget that can be embedded in the html of a blog (eg blogger) post that can capture audio recorded from a blog visitor and upload it to an audio file-hosting site?

    If so, please alert me at paul.storybases at gmail dot com Thanks

    Agree with #77. I have lots of players on my website, and they don’t work in Mozilla Firefox, but do in Internet Explorer. Any Suggestions?

    Note the ” autostart=yes& “.

    Of course, You’ll have to change the URLs for player.swf and for your mp3 file
